Q: Are your prices per car or per person?

Taxi fares in Workington are set for all licensed taxis by Allerdale Borough Council, and those are the taxi prices we charge.

All our vehicles have taxi meters which have been installed by Holcar and found to be accurate. The taxi meter will display the current taxi tariff.

As part of our taxi price promise to you we assure you that our drivers will take the shortest route to destinations, when possible, unless instructed otherwise by the customer.

Airport transfers and long distance is charged per a booking and must be prearranged

Q: How much luggage can I take?

The luggage space depends on the type of vehicle that you book. Luggage capacity is specified under each vehicle type. If you are unsure about size please get in touch.

Q: How early do I need to book my travel?

System allows you to book with a minimum 8 hours in advance if you’re booking online. But you can call us on +44 (0) 1900 269692 if you need a transfer sooner (depends on availability).

Q: What if I cannot locate my driver?

Call our support team on +44 (0) 1900 269692, quoting your name and our experienced staff will be able to assist.

Q: What if I wish to cancel and want a refund?

All bookings can be cancelled free of charge with a minimum 6 hours notice.
Any cancellations made within less when 6 hours of the pick-up time will not be refunded. The bookings that are secured by a debit/credit card or cash pre-paid will also be fully charged in this case.
Please note that all the cancellations must be notified to Jemida Travel through email at jemidatravel@jemida.co.uk or phone All bookings can be cancelled free of charge with a minimum 2 hours notice.
We reserve the right to refuse any passenger using our services if they are abusive, drunk or misusing drugs as well as having too much excess luggage which would result in the vehicle becoming unsafe on the road.

Q: Will I be charged extra if my flight is delayed?

No extra charges until your flight get landed.
Wherever, 45 min waiting time is included as part of your booking. We will monitor your flight and your driver will wait up to 45 min free of charge after your plane get landed. Any additional wait times will be charged at £5 for every 15 minutes thereafter, so if you take an additional hour to come out, you will be charged an extra £20. This can be paid as cash to the driver.

Q: Where do I meet my driver when I land?

Your driver will meet you in the arrival hall with your name board. If you do not opt for meet and greet service, then please contact your driver on the number provided and coordinate a meeting point with the driver. Alternatively, you can contact our customer support team on +44 (0) 1900 269692 if you have any difficulties.

Q: How do I know my booking has been accepted?

Once you have placed a booking online with us you will receive an emails with a status of your booking by the 2 following steps:
1. Unconfirmed – waiting to accept (maximum 2 hours)
2. Confirmed – your booking has been accepted.

Q: What if the flight is early or delayed?
There is no extra charge if your flight is landing early or delayed as we continuously monitor the status of your flight and work on the basis of scheduled arrival times.
